The Albany Academy and Albany Academy for Girls share a nearly 200-year-old tradition of single-gender, independent education. Both schools retain their own identities, traditions, programs and administrations while sharing a set of values and sense of purpose. A spirit of collaboration flourishes at the Academies. The Albany Academy strives to create an environment rich in possibilities that encourages and inspires each student to attain the level of mastery of which he is capable, and to develop those personal qualities and talents that make him a unique individual, a leader and a contributing member of society.
