Hillside School is a small, structured, challenging academic environment for boys in grades 4-9. The school is intentionally kept small, offering a 7:1 student-faculty ratio so that the boys can get the most out of their academic experience. The staff at Hillside are very supportive and caring; they serve as teachers, dorm parents, coaches, and advisors. Hillside staff know the boys closely– their strengths, areas of challenge, and passions. The school's average enrollment is 140 students, with students from 10 countries and 8 states. The community is inclusive, friendly and nurturing which allows the boys to easily make friends and learn about many different cultures and nationalities. Hillside offers more than 15 competitive sports, including hockey, basketball, baseball, soccer, tennis, golf, track and field, etc. In addition, students can experience a fully functional farm with fruits/ vegetables. What sets Hillside apart is its state-of-the-art Innovation Lab (iLab), where all boys can learn coding, robotics, rocket making, 3D printing and laser cutting software. Our ninth-grader graduate from Hillside as confident, independent leaders who will continue their education at some of the most competitive and reputable private high schools in New England and across the country.
